Love to the Rescue

Love to the Rescue
Nancy Lee Badger
Paramedic-firefighter Pete Thayer realizes his partner, Josie Miller, is not just one-of-the-boys. Pete’s sketchy history and tarnished reputation gives ‘Joe’ pause. Accidents, medical emergencies, fires, and threats spark heat of another kind.

Another woman accuses Pete of causing her sister’s death. Once on track to be a doctor, the sister’s lies caused Pete to keep women at a distance unless they agreed to share his bed…and nothing more.

Josie worries she has given her heart to a monster. Pete professes his innocence kisses her senseless, but her brothers intervene. A suicide note, fists, stolen moments, and desire lead to love.

  1. As a former 9-1-1 dispatcher, EMT, and volunteer firefighter on a small town's department, this book is filled with excitement! I loved writing it and hope you love reading it.

  2. Hi Nancy, I read Love to the Rescue and enjoyed it very much. Pete's reluctance to become more than a one night stand to Josie was an unsolved mystery that kept me turning the pages. Your characters bring to life the work of our Emergency Medical Technicians.

  3. Thanks, Mickey. Pete is one of my favorite characters. He appeared in Destiny's Mountain and wasn't very nice. I love to redeem my men! If you love the mountains and rivers surrounding my small town, check out Destiny's Mountain available everywhere.

  4. I like the line about "kissing her senseless."
