Bought it, read it, enjoyed it. Kind of a nice change to read something based in England.
ReplyDeleteI love it when former lovers get back together. This reinforces my belief in happy ever after despite a host of twists and turns. Ms. Martin's new book does this in spades! I recommend it highly.
ReplyDeleteDear Paula,
ReplyDeleteYour stories have a way of homing in on the inner heart and exploring all the twists and wonderments that lovers go through. I'm sure that this one, like Fragrance of Violets, will make its way to my bookshelf and my heart.
Wishing you much success, ever your friend
Erin O'Quinn
Many thanks, Kathryn, Ana and Erin - I really apppreciate your support - and your praise too! :-)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to reading this, Paula, as I loved your previous two books!
ReplyDeleteChanging the Future was a very good story! It was somewhat different, as I had little knowledge about volcanoes. Didn't matter though, Paula told me enough, and the rest had no effect on understanding the plot. Lisa and Paul made a great couple, and I'm so glad they got back together. Good job, Paula!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rosemary :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Celia - glad my volcano 'research' sounded authentic! Lisa and Paul struggled, but eventually deserved their happy ending :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking ahead to reading some fire curtain sparking between Paula's characters! Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Nancy! There are definitely a lot of sparks, not to mention a huge eruption!
DeleteGreat burb, Paula
DeleteThanks Jenny :-)
DeleteA terrific blurb that really makes me want to read the book. The reexamination of an old relationship and the possible rekindling of love is a tantalising propsect. To extend the volcanic metaphor, I guess there'll be some heat, not to mention eruptions between the two protagonists, as well as geologically.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gilli - and yes, although I didn't actually realise while I was writing it, the metaphor is there thoughout the story as the sleeping volcano awakes!
DeletePaula, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters were well-drawn, the plot kept me turning pages, and the book was obviously well-researched. It was a new and refreshing twist to love second time around. I highly recommend it.
ReplyDeleteLinda
Thanks so much, Linda :-)
